About This Substack
UNSEEN by Stephanie Dillon
Welcome to Unseen—a space for the quiet truths, the sacred scars, and the stories we don’t always say out loud.
I’m Stephanie Dillon, a multidisciplinary artist, writer, and survivor who has spent the last decade turning personal wreckage into public art. After a breast cancer diagnosis reshaped my life, I began creating work that doesn’t just ask to be looked at—it asks to be felt. From galleries in Madrid to street corners in Minneapolis, my art has always been about what lives beneath the surface.
This Substack is an extension of that work. A space for fragments, essays, poems, and provocations that don’t fit neatly into squares or sound bites. Here, I share raw reflections on pain, reinvention, femininity, power, grief, and the complicated miracle of survival.
If you’ve ever felt invisible in your suffering, misnamed in your strength, or beautifully broken in your becoming, this is for you.
